... promises of God. You can pray for another person, but if what you're asking is not consistent with or contradicts His promises, your prayers won't be effective. When your prayers for another are in line with His Word, God WILL respond. This is another good reason to read the Bible daily.
Base your prayers on the truth of God's Word. As Moses did, you can pray God's Word back to Him, reminding Him of what He has promised (Exodus 32:11-13). You can stand before God 'in the gap' and intercede for the lives of others, and for your nation. Intercession is a precious privilege. Who knows what a difference your prayers can make?"
PRAYER: "Lord, help me to have a greater knowledge of Your Word so that I will always pray in alignment with Your will. I know the power I have in prayer is Your power working through me. Help me to never get in the way of what You want to do in response to my prayers. Help me to make a major difference in the lives of my family, friends, and neighbours when I pray."
