I always look forward to the New Year and “the new thing” the Lord will do in my life!
I also enjoy ending the year by prayerfully reflecting on ...
Like many of you, 2011 was very challenging for me. Dealing with chronic illness and debilitation in my Mom and myself, ongoing financial challenges, and even rejection and lies about me. Wow, I’m not being negative, just honest. My purpose for sharing this is the hope that it will somehow encourage and strengthen you as you look ahead to a new year and learn from the past.
3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. 2 Corinthians 1:3-4
ISN'T IT TRUE THAT HARDSHIPS DRIVE US CLOSER TO HIM?
The challenging times serve as a reminder to me about the importance of my relationship with God. My dedication to Him is everything and time spent alone with Him is my lifeline, my strength, my peace, hope, and joy. My prayer times refine and reveal the person I am becoming through His moulding and shaping. How thankful I am! My prayer is that whatever is happening in my life, whether good or bad, will bring Him glory and make me a better person. If you make this your prayer, He is faithful and will answer!
May you have a time of prayer as you end the year, thanking Him for His faithfulness and cleansing yourself of anything that would hold you back from moving fully and freely into His wonderful plan for you. Begin the year anew and refreshed, and carry into this New Year only that which pleases and brings Him glory.
“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.” Isaiah 43:18
So, I stand with you as we enter 2012 together. I am so honoured and blessed to be your friend and thankful that you have allowed me to serve you through this group. I want to help even more this year and get to know you more by offering prayer seminars, retreats, and webcasts.I will keep you informed.
I know that as we seek to learn together and commit to drawing near to Him through the good times and bad, we will see His blessings and purpose for our lives fulfilled...and our friendship strengthened!
Blessings to you and your loved ones in 2012.
Love,
Pat
