In the Silent Circle of Prayer the children stand or sit in a circle and join hands. You (or the teacher) are also in the circle. First, the children are to close their eyes and think about God.
The last child squeezes your hand when finished and you then close the prayer time by praying aloud, thanking the Lord "for listening to our thoughts and for hearing our silent prayers as well."
This is a wonderful way to help children understand that God hears and understands our prayers and thoughts whether aloud or silently.
I love to envision children doing this and growing in their love and knowledge of prayer! Can you also imagine it?
