Colossians 1:9-12
9 For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives, 10 so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, 11 being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, 12 and giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of his holy people in the kingdom of light.
v. 9 - "For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you."
We are reminded to keep praying, to persevere in our prayers, and trust God to answer in His time and way.
v. 9 - "We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of His will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives,"
PRAYER: Lord, please fill us with spiritual understanding to see life and situations with Your perspective, and to follow Your perfect will.
v. 10 - " so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God,"
PRAYER: May we live a life pleasing and worthy of You, Lord. Equip us to bear good fruit for Your Kingdom and to seek to know You more each day.
v. 11 - " being strengthened with all power according to his glorious
might so that you may have great endurance and patience,"
PRAYER: Lord, please empower and strengthen us with Your might so we may continue to do well and bring You glory through good and bad times with faithfulness and patience.
v. 12 - "and giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of his holy people in the kingdom of light."
PRAYER: Heavenly Father, daily I lift my voice and give You thanks, praise, glory, and honour for Your grace, goodness, and gifts... Amen.
