I especially like COMMUNICATING with God because communicating has two aspects to it: Talking and Listening.
Talking: The Bible tells us to come to the Lord with our hurts, cares and requests "You do not have because you do not ask God. (James 4:2b); Is any of you in trouble? ...
Listening: An important part of prayer is being silent before the Lord and listening for His guidance, His still small voice, His presence. "Blessed is the man who listens to me, watching daily at my doors, waiting at my doorway. (Proverbs 8:34)" The subject of Listening will be an important part of our upcoming sessions.
There is a deeper level to Prayer & Intercession which I believe we yearn for as we grow in prayer. It is beautifully described by Arturo Azurdia as follows,
"Prayer is more than 'simply talking to God.' It transcends meaningless chatter, repeated platitudes, and even the artful stringing together of religious sentiments. It is the conversation of adoration, the intimacy of intercession, the dialogue of dependence and the humility of confession. Simply speaking, PRAYER IS TALK THAT HONOURS GOD."
We will also cover those in the future. Bless you and your loved ones!
