We read that Noah CONSISTENTLY followed God's will. I believe he made an effort daily to spend time with God: Thinking of Him, seeking Him, praising Him, and praying to Him; Noah sought God in every circumstance and it became a way of life.
To me that is praying continuously (1 Thessalonians 5:17): Having the Lord in our hearts and thoughts as we go through each day and seeking Him in each moment whether aloud or silently through conversation, petition, praise, thanksgiving, worship, or intercession. Having an awareness of God's divine presence in each situation.
The following quote (Prayer Bible), shows Noah's ability to hear God and the blessings that followed his obedience.
May we also be reminded of God's faithfulness and promises that are available to us every day as we abide in Him. In that we are greatly encouraged!
"God speaks, and Noah listens. He always listens. So far, his listening helped him survive a flood by building a boat. Now God is speaking again, and His words are words of love. 'Never again will there be a flood that will destroy all life' (Genesis 9:15).
Good news to Noah! Good news to us! God makes a promise and keeps it. Noah shades his eyes and looks at the first rainbow. He is dazzled by the showers of colours. It's a sign of God's promise, a signal of His love. Never again.
This God of flawless integrity made a promise and sealed it with His sign in the sky. And this is the God to whom we pray!"
