"Our prayers are the link between God's inexhaustible resources and people's needs. When we intercede, we stand in the gap between the need and the satisfaction of that need...if we are going to pray for others, we must ask the Lord to help us see what others see and feel what they feel. When we share in their pain, we will pray with an earnestness we have never known before." Charles Stanley
Experiencing difficulties and pain...
Having a chronic illness opened my heart and mind to the suffering of others and gave me a strong desire to love and help them. I know I would not be in ministry today if I had not experienced suffering and God's wondrous presence throughout it...even to this day Praise God.
2 Corinthians 1:3-4
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.
